Consolidate or Charge

There are occasions when you are running a business that you have challenging decisions to make in terms of the direction and strategy you adopt moving forward.
 
As Imagine has just achieved my prime goal since opening, to lead the area for both SOLD and LET BY market share, I felt we quickly needed to re-focus and set out new goals. It’s one thing to get to the top, but staying there can be even harder. I wasn’t naive enough to believe the hard work was done and dusted, far from it. What we were embarking on was the start of a new chapter and I needed to have, and give my team, a clear vision of what was next.
 
To that end, my options were to sit tight after a testing 18 months, or continue to push forward and try and extend our market share advantage. Most readers will be aware of my ambitious streak and so it will come as no surprise that the idea of plodding along was never going to happen. Instead we now have a target for the share of the market we want to amass and I have committed resources to help support that drive.
 
The Imagine branded car fleet has two new vehicles (5 in total). We have extended our support of small local magazine titles by another two, on top of being the only agent with 3 pages of advertising in both local papers. We are introducing a bespoke website and advertising model for our Executive Homes properties. We have a tie-in with a Removals Company that we hope will soon become Imagine Removals. We’re recruiting for additional staff and reviewing our office space to house them, plus ordering new brochures and leaflets that should paint the town purple over the coming weeks.
 
If someone wants our number 1 title, they are going to have to do something very special to get past us.
