Great news for Watford residents! Our local Watford Leisure Centre Woodside has once again been recognised as one of the best leisure facilities in England. For the third consecutive year, the centre has received the prestigious 'Outstanding' rating from Quest, the national quality scheme for the leisure industry.

We understand that high-quality leisure facilities can be a significant factor for many people when choosing where to live. Watford's commitment to maintaining excellent amenities like the Woodside Leisure Centre adds tremendous value to our area, making it an even more attractive place to call home.

The Woodside Leisure Centre, managed by Everyone Active in partnership with Watford Borough Council, was one of only five centres in England to achieve this outstanding result after a rigorous two-day evaluation. The assessment covered various areas, including tackling inequalities and environmental management practices, demonstrating the centre's commitment to both community service and sustainability.

Cary Leigh, the centre's general manager, emphasised that this achievement reflects their team's unwavering commitment to excellent service and positive community impact. The centre was particularly praised for its approach to tackling inequalities, environmental management, swimming lessons, engaging with older people, and customer journeys.

For those considering moving to Watford or within the area, this news highlights the exceptional quality of life our town offers. The centre boasts an impressive range of facilities, including a 25-metre pool, a state-of-the-art fitness suite, sports halls, and specialised exercise studios. These amenities provide opportunities for fitness, relaxation, and community engagement right on your doorstep.
